Nokia Lumia 925 leaked in low-res press shot

Nokia Lumia 925 leaked in lowres press shot

If you’re looking for details, you might be disappointed. We don’t know much about the alleged Nokia Lumia 925 pictured above, other than its rumored codename: Catwalk. We probably don’t have too much longer to wait for a full spec list, however, with the company hosting a launch event in London tomorrow. The relatively low-resolution press shot posted by @evleaks on Twitter shows a Windows phone with styling typical of the Lumia series. There does seem to be a slight taper toward the face of the device and we can report the headphone jack appears to be on the top edge. Otherwise, we’re as in the dark as you are. But just stay patient — all will be revealed tomorrow.

Get an early look at Facebook Home with these leaked pre-release APKs

Facebook Home’s making its official debut on the HTC First and a handful of big-hitting Android handsets this Friday, but MoDaCo has come across a trio of APKs which offer an early taste. The leaked APKs have been stripped from a pre-release HTC First ROM, with MoDaCo noting it’s “rather buggy” and not fully functional — Chat Heads doesn’t work, for example. You’ll need a handset with a max screen res of 1,280 x 768 and must be able to remove the current Android Facebook app, as the newer APKs won’t install otherwise. MoDaCo also lists a work-around for phones with Facebook baked into the ROM, but it’ll still need to be rooted. Hit up the source link if you’ve got the side-loading skills and feel like giving Facebook Home a preliminary poking.

Leaked Windows Blue build 9364 reveals multiple Live Tile sizes, same-width side-by-side apps

Leaked Windows Blue build 9364 depicts multiple Live Tile sizes, samewidth sidebyside apps

Want to get a first-hand look at Microsoft’s updated OS? You might be able to download the unreleased Windows Blue operating system on your own machine. Leaked build 9364 hit file sharing sites earlier today — according to Neowin, the 32-bit edition is available for download as a 2.63GB ISO, and likely hit the web from a Microsoft partner in France. Notable adjustments include larger and smaller Live Tiles, enabling a bit more Start screen customization, along with an updated side-by-side app view, which boosts multitasking efficiency by displaying two applications with matching width. Other additions include a Play option under the Devices panel, a screenshot button on the Share sidebar, and Internet Explorer 11, which comes packaged with the new OS. Windows Blue build 9364 appears to be an unauthorized leak, but even if you have any reservations about installing it on your own machine, you’ll surely be able to check out plenty of eye candy from other users over the hours and days to come. In the meantime, hit up the source links for a few more screenshots.

Leaked HTC Sense 5 screenshots suggest a leaner, cleaner skin

Did yesterday’s uncertain glimpse at a new HTC phone leave you wanting? Then grab a tray and find a seat, because the right-hand image above comes from XDA developer mdeejay, who claims to have a working port of the forthcoming Sense 5 skin. On the left, we’ve stuck up a similar Sense 4+ lockscreen to highlight how the new UI feels much leaner, cleaner and flatter — following much the same trend as Android itself. The 3D ring pull is gone, for starters, and the time and weather widgets also have a calmer and less skeuomorphic feel, with what looks like a thinner font (Roboto condensed?). These same widgets carry over to the apps screen, shown after the break (Sense 5 on the right), which in turn shows off fresh icons that persist with the minimalist flavor. Head over to the XDA link below for the full screenshot buffet.

A tipster has sent us the above leaked slide, revealing that there’s a new(er) kid on LG’s block in the form of the Optimus G Pro. The 5-inch handset comes with an upgraded 1,920 x 1,080 display and is packing a 1.7Ghz Snapdragon S4 Pro APQ8064, 2GB RAM, 32GB Memory, LTE and a 3,000mAh battery — tallying with a separate leak we’ve spied on Blog of Mobile. Reportedly weighing in at 160 grams and measuring 139 x 70 x 10.1mm, there’s talk of Jelly Bean, a 13-megapixel rear camera and 2.4-megapixel forward-facer for even better self portraiture. Samsung ATIV Odyssey Windows Phone 8 leaked with Verizon branding

Samsung ATIV Odyssey Windows Phone 8 leaked with Verizon branding

Federal filings aside, what we’re staring at here is the first look at Samsung’s initial US-bound Windows Phone 8. The ATIV Odyssey’s certainly not going to be confused for the Galaxy S III ATIV S we’ve already taken for a test drive, and while there’s not much to compare this early leaked render with, it appears to be a slightly chunky 4G smartphone that’ll be heading to Verizon this December. Color-Screen TI-84 Plus Calculator Leaked

KermMartian writes “It has been nearly two decades since Texas Instruments released the TI-82 graphing calculator, and as the TI-83, TI-83+, and TI-84+ were created in the intervening years, these 6MHz machines have only become more absurdly retro, complete with 96×64-pixel monochome LCDs and a $ 120 price tag. However, a student member of a popular graphing calculator hacking site has leaked pictures and details about a new color-screen TI-84+ calculator, verified to be coming soon from Texas Instruments. With the lukewarm reception to TI’s Nspire line, it seems to be an attempt to compete with Casio’s popular color-screen Prizm calculator. Imagine the graphs (and games!) on this new 320×240 canvas.”
